Author Guidelines

Submission Guidelines

Jnanasetu Press publishes scholarly books, edited volumes, conference proceedings, dissertations, and academic chapters in Education, Psychology, Social Sciences, Humanities, and related disciplines. Authors should carefully follow the guidelines below before submitting their work.

1. Types of Submissions

Jnanasetu Press accepts:

  • Academic Monographs
  • Edited Books
  • Conference Proceedings
  • Book Chapters
  • Dissertation-Based Books
  • Review and Conceptual Chapters
  • Interdisciplinary Research Volumes

2. Manuscript File Requirements

Authors must submit:

  • Manuscript in Microsoft Word format (.docx)
  • Editable files only
  • PDF files may be uploaded additionally for reference

Do not submit scanned manuscripts.

3. Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should contain the following sections, where applicable:

  • Title
  • Author Name(s)
  • Institutional Affiliation
  • ORCID ID (optional but recommended)
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Main Text
  • Statements of Conflict of Interest, Acknowledgement, funding, ethical approval et.,
  • References
  • Appendices (if applicable)

A separate manuscript without authors details should be uploaded to be used for peer review.

4. Title, Abstract, and Keywords

The title should, clearly reflect the content, be concise, and avoid abbreviations where possible.

The abstract should contain 150–250 words, summarise the purpose, method, major findings, and significance of the work.

Keywords

Provide 4–6 keywords relevant to the manuscript.

5. Formatting Guidelines

Authors should use the following format unless instructed otherwise by the editor.

Use clear headings and consistent formatting throughout the manuscript.

6. Tables, Figures, and Images

  • Number all tables and figures consecutively.
  • Provide titles for all tables and figures.
  • Ensure images are clear and of high quality.
  • Mention the source below reproduced figures or images.
  • Obtain copyright permission where necessary.

7. Citation and Referencing

Authors must follow the APA 7th Edition citation and referencing style. References should be complete, be consistent, and match all in-text citations.

8. Originality and Ethical Standards

Authors must ensure that:

  • the submission is original,
  • the manuscript is not under review elsewhere,
  • all sources are properly cited,
  • plagiarism is avoided,
  • all authors have approved the submission.

Submissions containing plagiarism, fabricated data, or unethical content will be rejected.

9. Use of AI Tools

Authors may use AI tools only for limited assistance such as:

  • language improvement,
  • grammar correction,
  • coding support,
  • data organisation.

Authors remain fully responsible for:

  • originality,
  • accuracy,
  • interpretation,
  • citations,
  • ethical compliance.

AI tools must not be listed as authors.

10. Review Process

All submissions undergo editorial screening.

The editorial team evaluates:

  • relevance to the publication scope,
  • academic quality,
  • originality,
  • clarity and organisation.

Selected submissions may be sent for peer review or expert evaluation.

Editorial decisions may include:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject

11. Copyright and Permissions

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce:

  • images,
  • tables,
  • figures,
  • datasets,
  • copyrighted materials.

The author retains responsibility for copyright compliance.

12. Submission Checklist

Before submission, ensure that:

  • The manuscript fits the scope of the publication.
  • The file is in editable Word format.
  • Abstract and keywords are included.
  • References are complete and properly formatted.
  • Tables and figures are labelled correctly.
  • The manuscript has been proofread carefully.
  • All authors approve the submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another press for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
